PRAIRIE JOHNSON: Born Nina Azarova in 1987, the daughter of a Russian mine owner. She experienced prophetic nightmares as a child. An assassination attempt on the children of newly prominent businessmen left her as the sole survivor. She died during the experience and encountered an entity named Khatun that offered her a deal: return to life at a price. Upon resuscitation, she found out the cost was her vision. For her safety, her father sent to America and promised they would one day reunite. When he was murdered, she was taken in by her aunt, and later adopted by an American family. They renamed her Prairie. She was medicated for her nightmares and lived a sheltered life until her 21st birthday, when a dream of her father in New York broke through the haze. She ran off on her own to find him.

Instead she found Dr. Hunter Aloysius "Hap" Percy, who intuited her near death experience after hearing her play violin in the subway. Over dinner, Hap told her he researched people like her and Prairie asked that he study her. He flew her to his home in Missouri where he imprisoned her in an underground laboratory with three other NDE survivors. Prairie pleaded with Hap to allow her sunlight and fresh air to maintain her sanity. He conceded and soon after she became his housekeeper. After months of this arrangement, she pushed him down the stairs and attempted to escape. He hit her in the back of the head, killing her for seven minutes. In this time, Prairie met Khatun again, who made her another offer: Find peace, and her father, in death, or return to life to help the other captives. Prairie chose to return and regained her sight when she did.

OA: Thereafter, she referred to herself as "The OA" or "OA."

The method of escape she and the others devised wasn't physical. Instead, they used the repeated near-death experiences Hap put them through to learn a series of movements while on the other side. These Movements would allow them to leave their bodies and their universe, finding freedom in another. Hap caught on to their collusion and learned the Movements as well. After OA's constant rejections of his offers to be partners in the study, he abandoned her on the side of the road and forced her friends to perform the Movements with him.

Seven years after her disappearance, OA returned to her home in Michigan, alone but determined. There she befriended five people, told them her story and taught them the Movements. They were performed successfully at the very moment OA was shot in the chest.

NINA AZAROVA: OA awoke in San Francisco in an alternate universe where she never died as a child or moved to America. However, she couldn't recall any of Nina Azarova's life and was coerced into committing herself to Treasure Island Mental Facility. Only after doing so did she find out it was overseen by Dr. Percy, that dimension's Hap, whose consciousness now inhabited Dr. Percy's body. He isolated OA from the other captives who were now patients at the facility.

With the help of a private detective investigating Nina Azarova, OA escaped Treasure Island. She learned more about Nina's life and her existing ties to Dr. Percy. Nina also experienced prophetic dreams but was never medicated for them. She became interested in Dr. Percy's work when he published his book Quantum Psychotic and she, along with her boyfriend Pierre Ruskin, became friends with him. Ruskin also became Hap's patient. Nina's wealth was used to fund research into an abandoned house with strange metaphysical properties. Unbeknownst to her, through an app, people were monetarily incentivized to solve the puzzles of the house, with those entering often losing their minds and taking their lives. Their corpses were delivered to Treasure Island where Dr. Percy used them to map the multiverse, work which Hap continued when he arrived.

OA immersed herself in a bath and drowned herself to unlock and integrate Nina's suppressed consciousness. With Nina at the helm, she returned to Treasure Island to confront Hap and uncover what her money was being used for. The pool of corpses shook OA back to the forefront, who likened her treatment of Nina to Hap's treatment of her and the others. A chase ensued, which ended in a courtyard with the two surrounded by machines Hap built to perform the Movements. He brandished a gun and stated he was taking both of them to another dimension where she didn't refer to herself as OA. As the Movements initiated, OA began to glow and ascend into the sky. Suddenly, her body jerked as if suspended by faulty wires, and she dropped to the ground.

"BRIT MARLING": OA lay unconscious and bleeding on the set of The OA television show. She was loaded into an ambulance. Hap rushed after, telling the EMT's that he was Jason Isaacs, her husband and co-star.

Note: Very willing to play this scenario, just without actual actor names.
